Books are Knowledge for any Magic User
In my experience you can never have enough books.

There is nothing so relaxing as picking up a good book. Its more than the book, its the feeling, the imagination, the story, the knowledge. Always having that book to hand is so reassuring, its lovely to be able to look up that spell or correspondence at any time.

Keep your books in good condition, do not fold edges and corners, get into the good habit of using bookmarks, even make your own to suit your moods and books. They can be passed down, read at any time of day or night, notes made, pages kept, they become one with you. Books don’t have to be expensive. They are a fantastic gift to give as well as receive. You can buy new or second hand.

Many bargains can be found in car boot sales, second hand shops and markets as well as eBay and Amazon. Also do not forget the library, also a good source of information. A good book collection takes time. With so many varied books on the market get into the habit of any book you can not pick up and browse, look for reviews.

Everyone has a different idea of what makes a good book, whether it is fiction or non fiction. Every time you go somewhere new, look for a bookshop and peruse the selection they have, many a gem can be found in the most unexpected places.

Another good idea is check the books on eBay ending soon, many are very cheap without bids and I have gained many a bargain this way. I have spent years on my book collection. I don’t get rid of any, I just buy more bookshelves. I love reading them, looking at them, holding them. It is a lovely feeling knowing their knowledge will be there at my fingertips whenever I need them. These are just some of the books in my collection.

My Library of Knowledge
Below I have listed some of the books in my collection that I have found to be either very enjoyable or invaluable in some way.

The Element Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells: The Ultimate Reference Book for the Magical Arts [Hardcover]

• Animals (Familiars and allies)
• Botanicals (in varied forms: dried and fresh herbs, roots, essential oils, flower essences and more)
• Elements (air, earth, fire, water)

• and more . . .

The Element Encyclopaedia of 5000 Spells also serves as a tribute to the magical books of the past. According to many anthropologists, the need to record magic spells and divination results (and taxes!) may have stimulated the very birth of writing.

According to legend, the very first books that ever existed were grimoires, (the technical name for books of magic spells) such as the Book of Thoth, authored by the Egyptian god of both magic and writing or the Book of Raziel, authored by an angel and given to Adam as consolation for his expulsion from Eden. (The angels preferred giving human women private tutorials rather than books.)

The Book of Thoth has been missing for thousands of years although a version of The Book of Raziel is currently in print. (The original volume, engraved on sapphire, is allegedly beneath the sea.) During the Burning Times, when magical practitioners were burned by the thousands or the millions, depending upon whose count one finds reliable, grimoires too were destroyed and burned, together with alchemists’ texts and witches’ private books of shadows, countless volumes of occult wisdom forever lost in the shadows.

The majority of the spells contained in The Element Encyclopedia of 5000 Spells are traditional spells. Although the Burning Times are over, traditional magic remains under siege in much of the world. Spells are lost daily. In a world of ‘rationalists’ and fundamentalists, ancient Earthly wisdom as well as its practitioners are an endangered species.

Magic spells are our common human heritage as are knowledge of magical techniques, whether we choose to use them, whether we wish to keep them on hand for times when they’ll be needed or whether they serve as inspiration and guidance so that we may create our own individual, personalized spells, furthering the evolution of that oldest of human arts, magic.

Egyptian Love Spells And Rituals Egyptian Love Spells And Rituals Egyptian Love Spells And Rituals
Claudia is a practicing Egyptian Witch and has written about her religion to share her spirituality with others. Her hobbies include aromatherapy, herbalism and astrology.

She is a member of the American Philatelic Society and currently lives in Arizona.

A popular area lacking in good material. This is a practical book designed to bring love into the life of a more general reader. But for solitary Wiccans it also provides a new path to explore.

The range of love is from a new relationship to a grieving partner. In rituals and chants, a celebration of love of all kinds.

This book will appeal to MBS book buyers, of course, but a more general market too. It is a reflection of the Ancient Egyptian culture and in many ways brings it to life, so any interest in Egyptology will bring another purchasing community.

Love magic has attracted many authors, but they have focused on Celtic, Norse and Dianic magic.
None has presented the compelling religion of the Ancient Egyptians or their passion and love of life. This is a ground-breaking title that opens up Egyptian magic for the first time.
